Well kids, the big bash is over. What a great weekend! Thank you to everyone who attended. It was really a treat to visit with the 21 teachers who attended. You really were the highlight of the evening. Thank you for sharing your time and so many fun memories with us.

We have set up a place for you to download pictures of the weekend. Just click on "40th Reunion Pics" in the column to your left to view and download your reunion pictures. The pics won't show up until I authenticate them, so keep uploading them until you are done.

Thank you to all the committee members who helped out; Karla Bjordahl, Ron Skjefte, Dave Smiglewski, Anita Lewison, Robin Olson, Don Buesing, Ron Fromm,  Dave Haroldson, and Al and Cindy Velde. Thanks to Dean and Don Buesing and their wives Barb and Betty for helping out at the front door with registration. Thanks to Ron Fromm, Ron Skjefte, Al Velde and Greg McConnell for organizing the golf outing.

We raised close to $1500 for the Dollars for Scholars fund. Way to go!

Anyone who is interested in purchasing the group picture that Gene Stukel took of the whole group, or the teacher group can view the pictures at http://genestukelphoto.zenfolio.com/gfhsclassof1971. If you want to order the pictures, you can email them at stukel@mvtvwireless.com. , or contact Gene at 320-564-4596. The cost for the pictures are $5.00 for a  5X7, or $8.00 for an 8X10. You can mail the check to Gene Stukel Photography, 738 10th Street, Granite Falls, MN 56241. 

This website will be up for about another month before it goes away. We paid for a one year subscription, and then it expires. 

 Welcome to the GFHS Class of '71 Website. The reunion committee has decided to hold our 40th Reunion on August 13, 2011 at the Granite Run Golf Club. We look forward to seeing all of you!    

Please check in by clicking on the "Classmate Sign-in" tab in the left column of this page. Follow the instructions to get registered. Please register even if you aren't able to attend the reunion. You must do this in order to take full advantage of this site.

Next, check out the events we've planned for the Reunion by clicking on the "Events and Registration" button. You will find directions to get signed up there.

We have invited close to 30 teachers to help us celebrate. While we know some of them may not be able to attend, we hope many well be able to be there. Several have already indicated that they will attend. We hope to hear from those that can't make it.

Teachers can participate by signing in the "Teacher Guest Book". Just click on that tab in the left column. If you have current pictures you would like to download, you can do so by clicking on the "Teacher Pictures" tab in the left column.

You can communicate with your classmates by leaving messages in the "Message Board" room. Or you can participate in the "Chat Room" if you please. Let's set Sunday nights at 9:00 PM CST as a time to be in the chatroom.

If you have pictures of the good old days, and can scan them, you can post them in "A look back". If you can't get them to post, email them to us and we'll put them in for you.

If you have family pics, you can post them in "Family Pics".

The Class of 1971 reunion committee invites you to reunite with all the classmates and teachers that you have missed the past years! Come and join us as we renew old friendships, reminisce about days gone by and share life experiences both old and new.

We've blocked 20 rooms at the Super Motel in Granite Falls. They will be held until the 25th of July. If you wait to reserve rooms after that you are at the mercy of the marketplace. There will be significant construction in Granite Falls this summer, so there may not be many rooms available if you wait until the last minute. Prices start at around $70 bucks for a queen room. Also, we have a block of 20 rooms at Prairie's Edge Casino for both Friday and Saturday nights. The rooms are $89 bucks. The cutoff date is July 22nd. Make sure you ask for the GFHS Class of '71 group. Again, please call before the cutoff date to guarantee the availability of a room. Call 320-564-2121 to reserve a room.
